Emily's Words

It is amazing to me how quickly Emily is picking up new words and signs. In addition to talking to her almost every day since she was born (at least one word a day... I know, impressive), we have been trying to get her to use sign language to communicate. Now that she is able to repeat after us, and use a lot of her own words, she had finally started to sign as well. She normally says the word she is signing, so it isn't as helpful as we would have hoped, but still very cool. I decided to compile a list of the words she is using now, so we can see how far she has come when she's 5 and we can't get her to be quiet. In no particular order, here's the list: bye bye, night night, milk, bird, bear, puppy, Zoe, good girl, thank you, mama, daddy, Barbara, who is it?, more, bunny, hello, cookie, banana, water, wee, Josh, no no, poo poo (in reference to Zoe going potty), cheese, baby, belly, nose, toes, booby, shoes, bubba, cracker, five (as in "high five"), two, three, here you go...

I'm sure I'm missing a few, I may have to update this list as I remember, but it's a start.
